The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro yesterday accepted blame for the poorly conducted immigration recruitment exercise that led to the death of 16 youths on March 15th. Mr Moro appeared before the Senate Committee on Interior Matters Panel instituted by the senate to investigate circumstances that led to the ill-fated exercise. While expressing his sympathy to those that died, Moro said as with most administrative exercises, the end result cannot be determined... How tacky! Who goes on a radio show to mention names of famous women he has slept with? Nick Cannon , that's who! But this Kim has been around sha...lol. So actor/rapper/TV personality/producer Nick Cannon was a guest on Big Boy 's Power 106 TV show and when the radio host asked him to list five celebrities he's gone to bed with, Nick didn't hesitate. He started off with his wife, super star singer Mariah Carey, then mentions singers Christina Milian and Nicole Scherzinger, ex-fiancee supermodel Selita Ebanks and reality star Kim Kardashian. When Big Boy acted surprised and said he didn't know Nick had slept with Kim, Nick replied, "Of course you knew...or you forgot because there have been many since me." Ouch! Not nice, Nick! Oh and he said he only mentioned the names of famous women people already know he slept with, ..meaning there are many more. He also said the first time he made love to Mariah Carey was on their wedding night.

The Chairman of Multichoice Nigeria, Dewunmi Ogunsanya lost his wife over the weekend . Mrs Ogunsanya died following complications from cancer she had been battling with for a while. May her soul rest in peace. Amen.

A police officer in Ogun State today Thursday march 27th shot and killed seven people including his own wife, a 2 year old, and himself, Premium Times reports. The full report below... Police Corporal Sunkanmi Ogunbiyi, attached to State Criminal Investigation Department of the Ogun State Police Command, went berserk on Thursday morning in Abeokuta. The rampaging policeman was said to be having matrimonial problems with Oluwatosin, his wife, who is also a police corporal attached to Obantoko police station in Abeokuta, the Ogun capital. According to neighbours, following a quarrel between the couple, Oluwatosin moved, alongside their two children, to the house of a neighbour, their landlady. Witnesses said Mr. Ogunbiyi arrived the landlady’s residence at about 7:02 a.m. and immediately opened fire on his wife. He also shot and killed the landlady, a 2-year-old toddler, and three others. A Federal High court this morning nullified collection of toll on the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge after a human rights lawyer , Ebun Adegboruwa, filed a lawsuit. But despite that ruling, the Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye says toll collection on the bridge will continue. The State Attorney General said this today a few hours after the Federal High court rulling "The judgment read this morning did not specifically address many of the questions raised by the applicant , neither did it grant any of the declarations sought. So the road users will continue to pay. All the same, we are not ruling out any kind of interpretation”. Aside from the failure of the court to make any consequential order or declaration, the judgment contains at least two or three fundamental errors. On January 3rd, Chidi Lloyd, the Rivers State lawmaker who was arrested for hitting his colleague with a mace during the mayhem at Rivers State Assembly in July 2013, was arrested for the alleged murder of two people, one Kingsley Ejeuo and police sergeant Urang Obadiah. The lawmaker was accused of knocking down and killing the police sergeant while pursuing Kingsley Ejeuo who he also allegedly killed with his car. He was discharged and acquitted over a charge of attempted murder by a High Court in Port Harcourt today. The presiding judge said there was nothing the court could do in the matter as the police was not willing to prosecute the case. And that ends it!

One of the delegates at the ongoing National Conference , retired police AIG Hamma Misau, whose sleeping pic at the conference was shared on social media some days back, has died. He died last night at the National Hospital Abuja of an undisclosed illness . He was 67. He will be buried later today. May his soul rest in peace...amen.

The new number plates introduced by the Federal Road Safety Commission, is unconstitutional, a Federal High Court in Lagos said today Wednesday March 26th. Premium Times reports Delivering judgment in a suit filed by Emmanuel Ofoegbu, a lawyer, against the FRSC, the judge said that it was unlawful for the commission to impose the new number plates on Nigerians, where no existing law permitted it. “The issue of redesigning new number plates by the respondent, is not covered under the provisions of any law in Nigeria,” said James Tsoho, the judge. “The respondent (FRSC) cannot force Nigerians to acquire new plate numbers by impounding cars , without the backing of any legislation to that effect. “I hold that the act of the respondent amounts to an arbitrary use of power, and is therefore illegal and unconstitutional. “Judgment is therefore entered in favour of the plaintiff, and all the reliefs sought is hereby granted, I so hold,” the judge add...

A  man feigning to be mad was apprehended yesterday along Ring Road in Ibadan town by residents of the area who found human tongue and dangerous weapons on him. Vanguard reports that his evil act was exposed when his hidden blackberry phone suddenly rang in public which aroused suspicion. He was immediately surrounded and searched. They allegedly found the human tongue , a cutlass and axe on him. The mob that gathered had attempted to carry out jungle justice on him but for the timely intervention of the police, who took him away. This incident comes barely four days after the Ibadan house of horror was discovered.

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, today nullified the collection of any toll or tariff on the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge. Ruling on the suit, which was filed by human rights lawyer, Ebun Adegboruwa, presiding judge, Justice Saidu, J. held that the power of control over all navigable waterways in Nigeria resides in the Federal Government, and not any state government. He held that from all the documents made available to the court, the only justification for the toll fee on the bridge by Lagos State is the private partnership law. However, he noted that the law could not apply to the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge since it was built with the money of the Lagos State Government, without the involvement of any private partnership. “Thus, since there is no law supporting the toll fee, it is illegal and should be stopped forthwith”, Justice Saidu said.

In a bid to stop the State House of Assembly from summoning the helmsman at the Nassarawa State Independent Electoral Commission for questioning, the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the state, Mr. Innocent Lagi, scaled the fence of the Assembly complex after been denied access into the complex by security men stationed at the complex. Mr Lagi had wanted to pass to the house leadership a court injunction restraining them from summoning the states electoral chairman for questioning on electoral matters in the state. Before he got to the House premises, the electoral chairman and his commissioners had already answered to the summon by the House. After jumping the fence, the commissioner was detained for about 40 minutes at the Assembly’s security post before he was taken away in an armored personnel carrier .
