Nigerian football legend Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha, threw a lavish 40th birthday party for his wife of 16 years, Nkechi Okocha on Friday October 25th at Civic Centre in Lagos. Maestromedia reports that Okocha gave his wife a brand new White Mercedez Benz G-Wagon SUV as birthday present. Nkechi was said to have gone down on her knees to thank her husband for all his love and support in front of the party guests.

Former Lagos State Governor Ahmed Bola Tinubu's first daughter , Folashade Tinubu Ojo was yesterday October 29th installed as the new Iyaloja of Lagos and the President General of the Market Men and Women of Nigeria, taking over from her late grandmother, Habibat Mogaji, who died in June this year. The installation took place at the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu 1. Before her new appointment, Folashade was the Deputy President General of the Market Men and Women. Unbelievable sad story of how a teenage boy raped a 9yr old girl to death in the Ikorodu area of Lagos From Punch   The police in Lagos State have commenced investigation into how a nine-year-old girl died, after sustaining injuries caused by alleged consistent rape. According to police authorities, the deceased was raped over five times, by a 14-year-old student, Onyi Adimabua, in the Ikorodu area of the state. The father of the deceased, Simeon Jigo, told Punch Metro that Onyi is the son of the proprietor of the school his daughter attended. Former President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Mustapha Amego, has died after a long battle with colon cancer. The musician and former TV personality, who relocated to the US many years ago, died yesterday October 23rd in Baltimore, Maryland, US. For those who don't remember him, he was one of the host of popular 90's weekly music-dance show, Sunday Rendezvous. Mustapha was also PMAN president  from 1993 to 1996. After his  tenure, he relocated to the US where he worked with the Discovery Channel as a content producer and editor. He will be buried today according to Muslim rites. May his soul rest in peace...Amen.

The Spokesman of the state Police Command, Mr Alex Akhigbe, told newsmen in Yenagoa that the girl killed herself in Amarata, Yenagoa, Local Government Area of Bayelsa, southern Nigeria. “I believe the deceased decided to hang herself due to the attendant shame and stigmatisation she experienced after the rape incident,” Akhigbe said.
