Anthony Wayas (pictured left) a resident of Finima community in Bonny LGA of Rivers State has been accused by his 12 year old niece of having sex with her since 2013, Tribune reports.   Anthony, who is the brother to the girl's father took responsibility for her after her father passed away when she was just a year old. By the time she turned 12, he started having sex with her.   His evil act came to light on Monday April 21 after the girl told her neighbour what her uncle was doing to her. The neighbour then told another neighbor who told the youth leader in the community and Anthony was accosted in his home where he was badly beaten and had to be rescued by the police. Minister of Petroleum, Dieziani Alison-Madueke, who has been in the middle of a 10bn jet scandal has secured a court injunction stopping the House of Representatives from further investigating her, Premium Times reports. Alison-Madueke had approached a federal high court in Abuja where she asked the court to restrain the House members to discontinue any probe involving her. Justice . R. Mohammed who presided over the case, barred the house members or their committees  from summoning her for any further investigations or even ordering her arrest if she failed to appear before the house. According to reports, the court injuction was secured on April 14th but was only made public today as the House intended to commence further investigation on the matter today. F oremost producer, writer, director and a leading player in the Nigerian motion picture industry, Amaka Igwe has passed on. She died last night April 28th in Enugu after an asthma attack. Mrs Igwe had gone to Enugu in company of her  husband for pre-production preparations for a new Igbo soap when the sad incident occurred. She suffered an asthma attack and was immediately rushed to the hospital after initial intervention had failed but sadly died before getting there.   Mrs Igwe is survived by her husband of 21 years Charles Igwe, three children, an aged mother. Emmanuel Kalejaiye, the 21 year old Nigerian young man, who learned to walk in heels as part of his plans to kill his own mother, Tolu Kalejaiye, in September 2013,has been found guilty of manslaughter by a court in England. According to the jury, Kalejaiye could not be found guilty of murder because to his mental state.   The Essex University undergraduate last year stabbed his 41 year old mother (pictured right) 40 times in her head, face, neck, upper limbs and hands during a frenzied knife attack. His mother until her death was an accountant with the Camden Council in England. A Federal Capital Territory High Court Apo in Abuja has declared the park and pay policy of the Abuja administration as illegal. Justice Peter Affen of the High Court, Apo, made the declaration on Thursday morning in a suit brought by a private savings and loan firm in the Nigerian capital.

The victim's nose was broken in the attack. His bodyguard, Chris Hornsby, who was also arrested, is expected to take responsibility for punching the fan during his trial which is set to begin today April 17th.

The schoolgirl got pregnant when she was only 11 years old and still in primary school by a boy who was only 12. The children said they 'were in love' and had been dating for a year w hen they found out she was pregnant. Th ey met over Christmas 2012 in a park when she was 10 and he was 11 going on 12. The children welcomed a healthy daughter on Sunday April 13th 2014.  

According to a breaking news report on Channels TV, suspected Fulani herdsmen are currently attacking Wukari village in Taraba state. Eyewitness reports has it that about 15 people have been killed but police officials say its only 7 that are reported dead. 293 people, mostly students who were on a high school trip, are missing after a ferry capsized & sank in dense fog off South Korea's coast last night, local media reports. A South Korean government spokesman told reporters this morning that there had been 459 people on board the ferry, including 325 students, 15 teachers, 89 other passengers and a crew of 30. So far 164 people have been rescued, three confirmed dead, while hundreds are still unaccounted for. One rescued passenger told The Associated Press he believed that many people had been trapped inside the ship when it sank. The ferry had been traveling to the southern tourist island of Jeju when it sank just three hours from it's destination. The distress call was made around 8p.m last night, 11 hours into the trip. A 19 year old Pakistani student named Iftikihar Muhammed Arslan, (pictured above) has been arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) for possession and attempted smuggling of 25.400kg of heroin said to be worth N228m into Nigeria, Vanguard reports Arslan was apprehended at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport during inward screening on passengers on board a Qatar Airways flight. 25 parcels containing the hard drugs were discovered in his luggage.   The suspect believed to be in a drug cartel through his passport showed that he left Lahore, Pakistan with the drugs to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, then Doha, in Qatar, from where he connected to Lagos.
