Luis Suarez has left Liverpool and completed a £75million move to Barcelona. Liverpool have finalised the terms of a club-record fee with Barcelona for the sale of striker Luis Suarez. Official talks began over a week ago and were productive from the start with the Catalan side agreeing to meet the Uruguay international's buy-out clause, believed to be £75million. 'But most of all I have fallen in love with the incredible fans. You have always supported me and we, as a family, will never forget it, we will always be Liverpool supporters. 'I hope you can all understand why I have made this decision. This club did all they could to get me to stay, but playing and living in Spain, where my wife's family live, is a lifelong dream and ambition. I believe now the timing is right. Atletico Madrid have confirmed the signing of Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich for a fee believed to be in the region of €22 million. A LASTMA official by the name Asorona stopped a car he claimed had violated traffic rules, removed the man from the car and allegedly assaulted him around 7.30 am this morning in front of BRT yard at Ketu bus stop. He and his colleagues also seized the man's car. And before anyone knew what was happening, the young man fell down on the road into convulsion, shaking, according to eye witnesses, like an epileptic patient. The heart stopping moment two planes nearly collided on a runway in Barcelona, Spain has been captured on camera. The incident, which happened on Saturday, shows a plane crossing a runway as another plane is coming in for a landing and had to abort just seconds before touching down, with the pilot carrying out an emergency 'go-around' procedure. Ms Sahhara shared these new photos of herself and a video on her facebook page to announce she'll be representing Nigeria at the Super Sireyna of Eat Bulaga competition, a transgender pageant  holding in the Philippines. Ms Sahhara says if she wins, her legacy would be to campaign for the acceptance of transgenders "I will do all my best to teach people more about transgender issues, who we are and where we come from because there is this huge misconception around the issues that surrounds transgender people. She was scheduled to play at the Tromøy music festival in Norway last week Thursday but she canceled at the very last minute because nobody bothered to show up. A man who described himself as a teacher/scholar inside the Boko Haram camp today July 8th spoke anonymously with Tobi Oladipo of BBC World radio service where he stated that it's only the release of their imprisoned members by the Federal Government that can make them release the over 200 Chibok girls they abducted on April 14th at the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok. "Yes we want the Nigerian government to release our members. As our leader Abubakar Shekau promised to the media, if today the government releases our members, tomorrow or the next day we promise you can see all of them (the girls) sure. I'm sure by now you all know who Naomi Oni is. She was attacked with acid in December 2012 by her own friend who was jealous of her. The friend, Mary Konye, has since been imprisoned. Ms Oni released these beautiful new photos and revealed that she has started dating again. Speaking with UK Close magazine, the 23 year old, who was single for a while following the incident after her boyfriend dumped her two months after the attack, said she recently had a boyfriend, and although it has since ended, the relationship really boosted her confidence. Prominent Northern politician and one time Minister of Transport during the second republic, Umaru Dikko has died at the age of 78. His son, Bello Dikko confirmed his death. Dikko was said to have died in the early hours of today July 1st at a London hospital  where he has been undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness. Family sources say he'd suffered three strokes  in a row. Mr Dikko was a minister during the Shagari Government (from 1979-1983). May his soul rest in peace Amen.

A bomb exploded at a busy market in Maiduguri, Borno state, this morning July1st. Eye-witnesses said the bomb went off around 8am this morning at the busy market near a Power Holding building. The number of casualty is expected to be high because of how crowded the area is. A Borno state govt official confirmed the blast to Sahara Reporters, saying the causality number is very high but stated that security agencies are working to secure the area and rescue victims. Today's bombing would be the first major bombing by Boko Haram since the beginning of Ramadan
