Barcelona   president  Sandro Rosell has tendered his resignation and hit out at "personal attacks" against him and his family following the opening of an investigation into Neymar's transfer to Camp Nou. Rosell and Barca are currently under the scrutiny of the Spanish High Court over an alleged misappropriation of funds  following the transfer of Neymar from Santos last summer. The Liga champions bought the Brazil star for a fee of €57.1 million in May of last year, but only €17.1m of that went to  Peixe , with third-party owners originally believed to have claimed the rest. Lagos State University  ((LASU) has been shut down indefinitely following what the school termed 'violent protest by students'. The  school management  shared the bulletin above announcing the indefinite closure, and asked all students to vacate the school premises until further notice. Exams have also been put off until further notice. Trouble started at the University yesterday after the VC Prof. John Obafunwa  refused  to re-open the registration portal for over 1200 students left to register for examinations.

Mehn, PDP is in trouble o. What's going on? 20 out of the 24 lawmakers that make up the Kwara State House of Assembly have all defected to All Progressive Congress, APC. The lawmakers who came into the house on the platform of the PDP announced their defection this morning. Principal officers of the house including the Speaker of the House Mr Rasaq Atunwa, his deputy, Prof Yisa Mohammed were part of those that defected. The lawmakers said they decided to move to the APC due to the factions in the PDP. Kwara State governor Abdulfatah Ahmed already defected to APC.

The third and youngest victim of the OPC members who tortured 3 peppers sellers in the Ejigbo area of Lagos for allegedly stealing pepper, is advocating the death penalty for the suspects who were arrested recently, Channels TV , reports 12 year old Nike (pictured above) appeared at the public hearing ordered by the Lagos State House of Assembly to investigate the incident which occurred in February 2012. At the hearing, she identified three men as the ones who tortured herself and her step sister for stealing pepper worth 50 Naira. She further revealed that one of the suspects (who was without a shirt in the viral video) had promised to set a trap for her because she rejected his advances. She identified the man who wore jeans as ‘Tirin,’ the man who wore native attire called ‘ankara’ as Jibola, the third man, ‘Abolore’ and ‘Baba Oja.’ She also said that she witnessed the murder of a certain individual by the said men at the same location where they tortured her

Upcoming Nollywood actress, Yetunde Akilapa was allegedly caught trying to burgle a house located at 16 Ibitoye Street, Magado, Lagos on Sunday, January 12. She was badly beaten by residents of the house and photos from the incident sent to the press. (Pictures above) It was her second stealing incident in one year. In February 2013, the actress was involved in a home break-in incident in the Shomolu area of Lagos for which she was allegedly arrested, prosecuted and remanded at the Kirikiri Maximum Prison for six months. Just two months after she was released, she was caught stealing again. But Yetunde says she's not a Kleptomaniac, that her problem is spiritual. "I am not a thief. I didn't steal anything. I dont know what is happening to me. I have every reason to believe my problem is spiritual. I can't even explain the circumstance I found myself. People should not ruin my life and career. Immediate past chairman of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Bamanga Tukur has been appointed Chairman Board of the Nigerian Railway Corporation by President Jonathan. His appointment was contained in a statement released by Special Assistant (Media) to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sam Nwaobasi. Alhaji Bamaga last week resigned as chairman of PDP. He was replaced with the former Governor of Bauchi State, Adamu Muazu.

According to a report by  Radar Online , 22year old college athlete, Michael Johnson (pictured above) has been arrested for allegedly infecting dozens of men with the HIV virus. 32 tapes of the former wrestler having unprotected sex with men who are not aware of his HIV status were found on his computer. The men were not even aware that he was filming the sex act. Michael has been charged with five counts of recklessly risking infection of another with HIV since November. Authorities said they have only identified one of the men in the tapes, and are trying to find out the identities of the others; many of the men seen having sex with Johnson might have met him through social media sites, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as on campus.
